All Embrace Your Lace Wigs purchased come with a full hair care guide and with practise you will find your own Lace Wig application methods that you prefer. Either glueless or with adhesives / tape.
For now, here are some simple beginner steps for you to follow:
1: Do a skin test. If you decide to use glue then do a skin test to determine if you are allergic to the adhesive.
2: Flatten your hair. By creating a flat surface for the Lace Wig to sit on, it will look better. You can braid your hair into corn rows if you prefer.
3: Put on a stocking cap. Stocking caps will flatten your hair and help to keep the Lace Wig in place. If you have little or no hair then you can skip this step if you prefer.
4: Put the Lace Wig on. Using the thick band inside the wig cap, pull it over your head and all the way back to the back of your head.
- Gently bring the nape of the wig to the back of your head.
- Secure the wig comb by tucking it under the band at the back of your head. If necessary, adjust the fit by pulling the adjustable straps at the back.
- Gently flip your hair back and slide the wig towards your hairline. Be cautious not to push it too far back; for a secure fit, the wig should sit slightly in front of your natural hairline. If it doesn't feel secure, remove the wig and repeat the steps for a snug and comfortable fit.
4: Fit the Lace Wig. Next is time to evaluate how and where you would like the hairline. The aim is to find where the hairline will look most natural.
5: Trim the lace. Once the Lace Wig is placed in position, gradually start trimming the excess lace cutting small amounts off at a time in zig zag lines for a more natural look.
Thats it! If you want to use adhesive or tape see below:
6. Apply adhesive or tape. When you have created your hairline, apply adhesive (wig tap/liquid lace adhesive) to the hairline to help secure the wig.
7. The finished hairline will look completely natural, as if the hair were actually growing from your head.
How to Remove the Full Lace Wig (glue method removal)
1. Put all of the hair up into a ponytail to protect it from the glue.
2. Apply the Lace Wig adhesive remover to the adhesive or tape around the hairline perimeter.
3. Rub the remover along your hairline where the lace meets the adhesive. Continue rubbing gently until the lace lifts away from your scalp.
4. Slowly remove the Lace Wig, taking your time so it is not pulled.
5. After you have removed the Lace Wig, it is recommended to wash it and gently remove any glue residue that may be left.
6. Allow the Lace Wig to dry naturally.
